Scope
This policy covers the personal data SkillVP (“SkillVP”, “we”) handles when you use the website, your account and the SkillVP command line. We collect what we need to run your account and deliver skills, and nothing for advertising.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile name and picture.
- Sign-ins: for each signed-in browser or command line, the IP address and the browser or tool version, so you can see and sign out your devices.
- Purchases: what you bought, when, the amount and the payment provider’s order reference. We never receive your card details.
- Installs: which skill and version you installed, for which agent and with which command-line version.
- Email: the sign-in codes and account messages we send you.
- Server logs: requests to our servers, including IP addresses, kept briefly for security and fixing problems.
The command line only contacts SkillVP when you sign in, install, update, list or search. It doesn’t report what your agent does with a skill.
How we use it
- To provide what you signed up for: your account, sign-in, installs, purchases and updates.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping purchase records for tax.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run SkillVP, and only what each one needs:
- Creem handles payments as our merchant of record, including tax and receipts. Your payment details go to Creem, not to us.
- Cloudflare delivers the site, protects it from abuse and stores skill files and images.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Hosting providers that run our servers and database, and email delivery providers that send our emails.
We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If a skill page includes a demo video, the video player may set its own cookies when you play it. When you sign in on the command line, its token is stored on your computer, in your system keychain where one is available.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except purchase and payment records we’re required to keep for tax and accounting. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Security
Connections are encrypted, sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords, skill downloads use short-lived links, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we’ll tell you if a breach affects your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or to restrict or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] from your account’s email address; we may need to confirm it’s you, and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International processing
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Children
SkillVP isn’t for children. You need to be at least 16 to create an account, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll email you or show a notice on the site before it takes effect.
